Meet Hilda

Hilda Carpenter has a rich and diverse background. She worked in high tech for over 20 years, then opened a boutique executive coaching firm while living in San Jose, CA. During this period, she focused on communication, high tech and engineering corporations. She worked with the top executives in the country to enrich their performance, both professionally and personally.

Her intuition and experience bring into sharp relief the reason her career enjoyed success. As an academic professional she applies research to the real problems in the professional realm. Complex organizational problems are her specialty bringing together the intersections of people, organizations and technology. She believes that individuals and organizations can always improve to a higher potential. Her clients can expect to achieve higher professional and organizational results.

Hilda earned her BS in Management, followed by a MA and PhD in Human Development from Fielding University. She researched and published a theoretical extension of communication competence and articles in academic journals, business magazines and newsletters.  She wrote and published a memoire, along with two anthology books under the title, Rural Genius. The central theme of the three books is finding genius in rural places.

Combining professional, academic and personal experiences, Hilda taught in the Master of Science of Organizational Development school at the University of San Francisco. Her skills ranged from the soft to the scientific side including statistics. She consistently received outstanding evaluations in each class she taught.

She is a community leader serving on several Board of Directors in California and Texas on non-profit and for-profit organizations.  Hilda has a performing talent that gives an opportunity to use her humor in visual and voice presentations. She co-hosts a show with the local community radio station with Dixie Newnam, Esq. This show, called Rural Genius, centers on science, technology, math, art and science.

Hilda’s 34-year marriage, 4 kids, and tons of grandchildren give her balance and best of all, humor. She and her husband enjoy living in the Hill Country of Texas with their mini-schnauzers who bark at all the critters that visit.
