This course will explore the definition of loss and its impact within the practice of law. Loss is not just death, it can include any transition or change.
The complexities and uncertainty of transitions for employees include higher levels of daily stress, and increased likelihood of to making poor decisions, using substances, and risk of injury. The annual economic impact of unsupported transition and loss is estimated to be upwards of $75 billion (Grief Recovery Institute, 2003).
Participants will learn to recognize symptoms of transition and loss. You will develop strategies for processing change and supporting others.
This CLE will consist of one two-hour session, with a 10 minute break in the middle.
